In my performance I was playing Hecuba a character who has lost everything including her husband her friends and family and the city she cares most about and all of this after her son has been murdered and she has suffered watching her husband the embodiment of troy kneeling before the enemy (Achilles) in rags and after sacrificing everything was betrayed. my choice of costume was to be damaged and dirty which was why I worn all black and a ripped up jumper however I wore a colourful head scarf to show that she still had some pride and power after what happened.
My group used the space by having the seat in the middle as both hecuba and Achilles had to sit there and it was good as it showed that Achilles was dis-empowered by hecuba with him sitting down and hecuba standing over him and showing that hecuba has higher status than him we also used a gun and phone as props and also the flickering of the lights to show that there was explosions outside and to show the ending scene of the play.
I think we used the space quite well as we were all acting close to each other and we used all of the space provided effectively and well in my opinion however i regret the decision to be pushed in
